THE TRADITION
For 33 years the
Detroit Association of Black Organizations has touched the
community in and around Detroit, one person at a time. --
Empowering...”I
was unemployed for over a year and ashamed to asked for help
until I saw the generosity of DABO during Thanksgiving offering
boxes of food to the people in our neighborhood.” --Thanksgiving
Basket Recipient Ms. Johnson
Equipping...”After
watching the Real Talk TV show, I called the toll free number and
had access to healthcare at no cost. This is the kind of
information people must know about. It changed my life.”
--Healthcare Recipient Ms. Pugh
Serving...”The
Horace Sheffield Jr. Center has supported my club meetings for
over twenty years. And my daughter learned how to start her own
non-profit after taking the DABO leadership training classes.”
